Wobble Welding Head (Option)
Wobble welding heads are the ultimate tool to weld a multitude of different material types and thicknesses and typically used in case, tray and IGBT module welding applications.
The wobbling technique helps overcome common welding problems related to gaps between work pieces as well as materials prone to cracking and porosity.

Scanning Welding Head (Option)
Scanning welding heads are typically used for 2-D welding applications such as busbars, hairpins, and terminal welding.
The scanning head is easily programmed for the shape and size of the weld pattern, and with very high speed movement between weld sites within the scanner field, this is the fastest precision welding technique.
Processes developed using the Scanning Welding Head are directly transferable to IPG’s ILWS, Module Welding Line and Module Production Line manufacturing solutions.
Vision Packages for Part Alignment
The standard vision package is fully integrated into the HMI and provides off-axis for cutting and on-axis for welding:

Granite Base and Linear Motors for Accuracy
The Battery Weld R&D Workstation includes a natural granite base for stability and high-precision laser processing:

Linear motors increase positioning accuracy and speed as well as eliminating common wear issues and increasing uptime:
