Slinger High School First in the U.S. to Operate a Fiber Laser Cutter

Student-at-Slinger-High-School-v2
Slinger High School gave its students the cutting edge by becoming the first high school in the United States to operate a fiber laser cutter. In Welding and Fabrication class, students get hands on experience with every aspect of the laser cutting process from learning various software to loading the machine. This laser cutter, an IPG LaserCube, is the same technology used in a modern manufacturing setting. This provides Slinger High School students with a huge advantage, whether they are looking to work straight out of high school or heading a specific direction in college.

LaserCube has a low cost of ownership and easy-to-use interface, ideal for providing students the skills they need to prepare for manufacturing roles in the real world.
