IPG Photonics Breaks Ground on New Polish Headquarters

Construction has begun on a new office and warehouse building in the city of Gliwice, Poland, adding to the more than 30 global locations. A symbolic groundbreaking took place at the site on September 9, 2021, attended by Dr. Eugene A. Shcherbakov, CEO, Global Head of IPG Photonics Group of Companies, Trevor Ness, VP Global Sales and Marketing, Grzegorz Chrobak, Managing Director of IPG Photonics branch responsible for Poland and Baltic States, and Aleksandra Wysocka, deputy mayor of Gliwice.

“We are a pioneer and leader in the development and production of high power fiber lasers, used in a wide range of applications including steel, aluminum, copper, sheet metal and steel structures, as well as used in telecommunications, medicine, science, aviation, automotive and military. We are building our headquarters in Gliwice because of the attractiveness of the Polish market, which is open to high-tech industry and services," said CEO Dr. Eugene A. Shcherbakov.

The new IPG Photonics Polish headquarters will comprise of 8,000 square feet devoted to office space, an exhibition area and showroom, conference and training rooms, and a laser technology laboratory. The project is scheduled to be completed in May of 2022.
