TPS-6000
Laser Welding Machine for Continuous
Tube and Profile Manufacture
The TPS-6000 is an integrated continuous laser welding system for the production of tubes and profiles. Compared to traditional CO2 lasers, the TPS provides higher throughput, reduced operating cost, and increased production tool availability.

TPS-6000 Applications: Welding
The TPS-6000 provides high integrity, oxidation-free, low HAZ seam welds on carbon and stainless steel continuously-formed tubes with wall-thickness from 0.7 to 4 mm.
The high-efficiency fiber laser welding process is more energy-efficient and faster than traditional CO2 techniques, while the integrated seam tracker ensures accurate weld placement and very high processing yields. Because the laser is maintenance free, with no complex alignment required, maintenance and set-up times are minimized, further increasing production output.

The heart of the tube and profile welder is the fiber laser source that creates the light. IPG kW class industrial lasers:
Perform real-time measurements to confirm the quality of welded parts.
For critical parts, verify with 100% measurements for recording of process compliance and prevention of further investment in non-complying parts.

IPG’s in-line weld monitor for remote scan welding applications. Paired with our IPG OmniWELD Scanning software the LDD-700 offers five monitoring modes: keyhole depth, seam profile, workpiece height, finished weld surface height and bead profile—all from a single instrument. Active steering of the ICI beam allows OmniWELD to seek out defects immediately before, during, and after the welding process. These capabilities are available in a single presentation of the part with little to no additional cycle time or fixturing required.
