CDRH Class | The components of the ILWS constitute a Class 4 high-power laser system that requires adherence to safety procedures. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the system is operated in a Laser Controlled Area and conforms to all safety standards including CFR 1926.102(b)(2), ANSI Z136.1 (US) and EN207/EN208 (Europe). All users must review the Product User Guide in its entirety and be fully trained before using the ILWS Device |
The ILWS is controlled by Galileo, a proprietary software package from IPG. Running on the industrial PC embedded in the ILWS system, Galileo provides integrated control of the welding site location and all welding process parameters, including laser source power and pulse settings and scanner path control.
Software components of ILWS options including Vision Alignmentalso run on the same controller units, and are fully integrated with Galileo for seamless transfer of data regarding part positioning.
Because ILWS is designed to be a self-contained smart welding module, external communication requirements are minimal, particularly for a single-part dedicated welding station. Job flexibility is provided by XXXX input from product team here XXX. While designed to be operated in a fully-automated environment, a manual triggering option is also available.
